For as long as I can remember, one of Olivia’s favorite things to do at Christmas is lay under the tree. Today she asked me to lay Genevieve under the tree with her so she could show her the lights.❤️

Every year Olivia shocks us with a fantastic costume idea that is never something I can just go buy (and let’s be honest- I like making these). We even enlisted the help of Mimi to pull off her Miss Frizzle costume last year. This year Olivia wanted to be a pencil. I think we’ve pulled it off! And then it was only natural that Genevieve should be an eraser. And Rob and I are crayons. Happy little art supply family!

First broken bone. Hairline fracture near the elbow... she braced herself when she fell at recess on Wednesday. Today she got a pink cast with purple stripes and gold glitter. She’s learning to do lots of things left handed.

In my family we have a made up word: bisters. It’s a blend of “best friends” and “sisters”... “best sisters” shortened became “bisters”. My sisters and I use it as the label to our group messages, as part of a greeting and a term of affection. Olivia has already referred to Genevieve as her “bister” so I have high hopes for their budding friendship. #sisters #bisters
